A lot happened in June, and I want to give you guys an update on the changes and what is up next for me.
June was my last month as a participant in Praxis. My business partner for the nine months was the Foundation for Economic Education (FEE). I had a blast working at FEE and living in Atlanta from September to June. Packing up and getting ready to leave at the start of June was very bittersweet.
For a long time, I’ve been excited about the idea of a long road trip around America. Since there was some time before I had to be back in Canada, this was the perfect opportunity to make the dream a reality.
My girlfriend and I headed out from Atlanta. Stuffed into a car with all of our possessions, we spent the next two and a half weeks crossing some cool destinations off of our bucket list.
By the time we crossed back into Canada on June 30th we had visited 15 states. A few of the places that stand out for me are Portland, Vegas, Arches, and Yosemite. But, my favorite thing from the ENTIRE trip was The House of Eternal Return in Santa Fe. We will be releasing a podcast episode with a lot more detail about the road trip soon so, stay tuned!
We are spending the next three months (a.k.a. THE SUMMER) in Canmore, Alberta. Right outside Banff National Park, and nestled into the Rockies, Canmore is a spectacular place to live. After traveling the world, it is very hard to find a place that beats it.
Priority numero uno for the summer is The World Wanderers Podcast (TWW). We have some exciting updates that we’ll be sharing in the next few weeks, and we are going to be working hard to make the show more and more valuable each week. Very excited about the future!
On the blog side of things, you can expect a whole bunch more content from me!
Each day for the next 90 days I am going to write a blog post. Three times a week I will post a story for TWW. Then the other four days will be posts here and on Medium.
Since the end of January, I have only sporadically been writing and I miss it deeply. I find myself going slightly crazy when I’m not sorting my thoughts out and feeling the satisfaction of creating something. I’ve always been an all or nothing type of guy. When I try to do something twice a week, I often lose track of track of it after a few weeks.
Writing every day for three months is going to be difficult at some points, but I am looking forward to seeing my writing improve and feeling a lot more productive from the challenge of creating every morning when I wake up.
Alongside the daily content, you can expect a book from me, and a few more guides from The World Wanderers (you can get a copy of our South America guide here) before the end of the summer.
See you tomorrow.
