Sometimes we imagine that we are in a car that has a mind of its own. We feel stressed, anxious, confused, and all these other emotions. Those emotions can lead us to take action before we even think about what we are doing. As if the car had a mind of its own.
It can be frustrating enough that people forget that they have a steering wheel. You can take control. All you need to do is breathe. A few deep breaths, imagining a different situation and you can change your emotions.
Some much of our lives are spent chasing after good feeling through external means. We like to pretend that we can’t just choose to feel calm, empowered, and happy right now. But you can. All you need to do is breathe deep and imagine yourself in a situation where you felt the way that you want to feel right now.
