Loom: Screenshares and Videos
Loom makes it very quick and easy to record videos and screen shares. If I am giving someone feedback, or simply need to send someone a long thought, it is easier, quicker, and gets the message across better with a video. There is no downloading or uploading, and it is pretty glitch free (unless your internet is shaky).
Paste App: Clipboard Extender
Paste is a Mac app that extends your clipboard. You can save the last 100 things you’ve copied and permanently save things you regularly use, so you have it two clicks away. It is the type of app that makes you wonder how you worked before you had it.
Evernote: Note Taking
Evernote is a much more powerful note-taking application. I probably don’t need to explain it as it is by far the most popular note app out there. It syncs across all your devices, makes it easy to scan in notes, and the web clipper chrome extension makes it very easy to save in emails and screenshots.
ToDoist: Task Manager
ToDoist is like Apple reminders on steroids (a lot of steroids). It works on every platform out there (I use the desktop Mac version, the iPhone app, and the chrome extension). You can quickly add and organize tasks, save in emails, and manage your tasks in projects. If you rely on a combo of your calendar, inbox, and reminders I would seriously recommend giving ToDoist a try.
Grammarly: Spelling and Grammar Checker
Grammarly is a super-powered spell checker. I have the chrome extension, which lets me have the support of Grammarly in Gmail and when writing blog posts. I’ve used it for two years now, and it has not only saved me from making a ton of mistakes, but also helped me improve my grammar and writing by pointing out mistakes with comma placement, wordiness, and use of passive voice.
