The mainstream political debate is between two forms of authoritarianism. One prefers to police language and business, the other to police drugs and foreign countries. The fact that the two camps hate each other and passionately and violently fight disguises the fact that they share the same core beliefs about government.
They argue about what the state should do with its power, but neither group questions the power of government. Disguised behind the anti-socialist and anti-fascist branding are two groups that worship state power. No matter what country you go to, there is no significant anti-authoritarian movement to be found in politics.
