Right now there is no cryptocurrency project that faces as much negative attention as Bitcoin Cash.
Everytime someone posts about it on Twitter or Reddit, a legion of “users” flood the comments with BCASH!, Roger Ver!, Scam!, Shitcoin!
Anyone new to cryptocurrency that get’s their information from r/bitcoin and the most popular figures in the cryptocurrency space would be exposed to so much surface level negativity and no actual detail about the philosophy behind Bitcoin Cash (BCH), that they would quickly develop a dislike for the project.
This constant attack does not exist for other cryptocurrencies. Outright scams and pyramid schemes face less negative attention, and as a result, the price of Bitcoin Cash is negatively effected.
But the attacks on BCH and the evil characterizations of leading figures in the community are like the anti-drug propaganda of decades ago. They attempt to create fear, which is effective for short-term manipulation, but in the long-term won’t stand up to logic and reason of crypto fans that start learning more about BCH.
Every day, more people step past the initial layer of fear and suspected villainy and start exploring the actual arguments behind BCH. When they do they realize that there is a cryptocurrency project with real use cases, strong development, reasonably decentralized mining, and a rational philosophy for scaling.
The cries “scam!” from Bitcoin Core supporters will eventually stop working and at that point the price of BCH will rise to a level that is in line with its utility.
Until that happens, for those that look into the fundamentals of BCH vs. BTC, there is an opportunity to capitalize on the mass hysteria and fear that BTC propaganda has created. There is a chance to get a deal thanks to the kind BTC trolls.
