I’ve been intentional about reading fewer books at the same time lately and have limited myself to three at a time. The three I’m reading right now are:
1. The Elon Musk Series by Wait But Why
I’m a fan of WaitBut Why and have read many of their posts, but not the Elon Musk series, so I bought the ebook version and just finished the first section today. Classic WBW with interesting subject matter.
2. Upstarts by Brad Stone
I recently finished The Everything Store, Stone’s biography of Jeff Bezos and really enjoyed it. I’m only a few chapters into Upstarts right now, but I’m enjoying it. It details the early years of Uber and Airbnb.
3. Flatland by Edwin Abbott
I decided to read Flatland based on a couple very good reviews, but so far feel it is very mediocre. The story is of a character in a 2D world talking about the challenges that come for living without depth. I get the analogies, but feel bogged down in detail about geometry. I’m about half way through and I plan to finish it to see if I pick up anything valuable in the last half.
