In day to day life and work it is easy to get lost in detail. Whether it is the stress of daily responsibilities or the frustrations of slow progress, it is easy to lose focus on what you are achieving in the long-term.
To stay motivated and to avoid frustration, it is important to practice zooming out of your work. To think back to where you are in the greater scheme of things and realize that the things stressing you out today, you probably won’t remember a year from now. To put your current standing in context with your past and remember that you are making forward progress and learning a lot.
Regularly zooming out will help free you up stress and motivate you to make more progress towards you’re long-term goals.
