The fact that you are creating value in your job is more important than the way you are doing it.
But most people stress a lot about the specific task they are responsible for. They worry about getting stuck with unglamorous work, or not getting the opportunity to do high-value work.
The fear of getting stuck distracts them from the easiest path to become more valuable–seizing every opportunity to create value.
The people who are willing to do unglamorous work and invest energy into doing it well are the ones that build trust, respect, and skills that allow them to get the opportunities to do high-value work down the road.
