Many people are dissatisfied with their lives but completely unmotivated to make changes. They view important possible improvements as things beyond their control. It is up to their friends, their families, and their governments to change and improve their lives. They are unmotivated to take action because they believe that other people are responsible for improving their lives.
This is the complete opposite of the truth.
The only way that we can get to a better future is by taking responsibility for our own lives–accepting where we currently are and accepting that through our actions we have the power to improve our situations.
When you sit, wait, and expect others to improve your quality of life you end up being bitter and unmotivated because you never truly get what you want. When you take action to improve what you don’t like about your life, you tap into a well of motivation. You develop skills and power to improve your life in unexpected ways.
