I was having a conversation with someone today who brought up the idea of doing 100-day projects.
I’ve tried many different lengths of projects and goals; lots of month-long projects and habit goals, one 90-day blogging challenge, and right now I’m working on my way to a year of daily blogs, but I’d never thought about 100 days as a timeline for a project.
Thinking about it, it sounded like the perfect time range. There is something special about a 100-day project. Each individual day is 1% of the way towards the end, so you can see your progress as the deadline approaches in a tangible way. It is a significant amount of time–over three months–so you can get something big done, but not still short enough that you can do a couple in a year.
So I’m excited to try it out. I’m going to finish up one year of daily blogging in November (20 days left to go) and then for my next personal challenge I’m going to set a timeline of 100 days.
