Success in life is about your ability to engage with problems.
No matter where you are, who you are, or what you do, you will always have problems. From an objective perspective, some of these problems are worse than others, but we don’t see life from an objective perspective.
The problems facing us will feel quite similar even though they are objectively massively different. Someone’s Tesla needs repairing, someone else tore their ACL, someone else’s dog has cancer, or someone doesn’t know if they’ll have enough food to feed your kids next week. These problems are different but all feel similar to the people facing them if they do nothing to change their perspective.
As your life get’s “better” the types of problems you have simply change. Instead of not having money to fix your car, now all your friends and family are asking you for money to fix their cars.
At no point in life will your problems go away and at no point in life will running away from problems work. The only way to deal with problems is to attack them head-on.
For the problems we can fix, we need to take action to fix them.
For the problems we can’t fix, we need to accept them and change our perspective.
