Working on this daily blogging project, I notice that sometimes I arrive at the end of the day feeling tired and just wanting to find something easy and quick to write about.
Those are the days I think I spend the longest between sitting down and actually publishing a post. Because instead of diving into an idea right away, I procrastinate more, I look for distractions. I don’t engage with ideas because they seem like they will be a lot of work. When I want a quick and easy idea, the quick and easy ideas just don’t come.
I think this applies to a lot of work in life. If you’re afraid to get your hands dirty because something might be hard, you’re almost guaranteeing yourself a harder time in the future.
If you don’t worry about if something is going to be quick or slow, easy or hard and just dive in often you’ll find that you can get it done in half the time.
