While we universally understand the need for taking breaks from physical work, most people treat mental work like something you can do for hours and hours on end.
When we do take breaks, we grab our phones and start scrolling through social media or throw in AirPods to continue engaging our minds.
The point of a break is to restore yourself and get back to being able to work at a high rate.
The only way to do that is by actually taking a break. Stepping away, closing your eyes, clearing out inputs, and taking some breaths.
