It’s easy to get caught up in thinking about the results you’re generating over the short term, whether you’re getting everything you want to get done today done, or whether you meeting your monthly goals.
And it’s hard to train your attention towards a long-term future. To think about what you can accomplish over a 10, 20, or 30-year stretch. But as days go by we eventually do end up in the future we spend so little time thinking about.
Think back to who you were 5 years ago, or who you were 10 years ago. What could be different if you had started something positive then? If you invested in something, started learning something, or created some other habit?
Now think about where you want to be ten years from now. Are the things you’re doing right now helping you towards a place you want to be in the future? If not it’s time to make some changes.
