Over time your priorities change. Often, your identity will lag behind and you are left feeling in conflict with yourself. As if the way you live doesn’t align with who you are. But is that true? Or is it just that you still think of yourself as the same person you were 5 years ago?
I don’t know if he is the one who came up with it, but I remember TK Coleman writing something along the lines of “don’t be a slave to your younger self”. Don’t forget to update your version of the good life to align with who you know you now are.
