Some days life is just harder.
Maybe it’s from a bad sleep or fighting an illness. Maybe you have too many commitments and not sufficient time to recuperate. On those days, it is much harder to get the results you’re accustomed to. Everything just feels like it takes a lot more effort to get the same or worse results.
When you notice the difference between the results you’d ideally have and what you are capable of getting, it makes it tempting to just give up. To skip the day. Tell yourself that you’ll get back to it tomorrow when you’re feeling better.
I’ve learned as I’ve gotten older that those perfect days rarely come. There will almost always be something that keeps you from getting the perfect result you are striving for.
So instead of putting things off and waiting for the time to be right, you have to develop the discipline and the courage to give the best you have today, even though you know you could do better on a perfect day.
